Age --
The skin covering the eyelids thins out as we age. With
the skin being thinner the blood vessels underneath
become more apparent.
-
Allergies - Although allergies are often the blame for
dark circles, anything that causes chronic nasal
obstruction can be the culprit.
-
Drinking caffeinated beverages
-
Fatigue or lack of sleep
-
Heredity -- Tendencies such as allergies or thinner
eyelids pass on from generation to generation.
-
Overexposure to the sun
-
Menstruation
-
Pregnancy
-
Smoking

Remember
the skin around the eye is the thinnest area of skin, and
needs to be handled with care. When using an
antioxidant
vitamin eye cream, dab a few dots under the eye area with
your ring finger, and starting from the outer eye area,
gently massage the cream into the skin while moving towards
your nose. When applying concealer, keep in mind that it’s
usually thicker than eye cream, so whenever possible, use a
concealer brush instead of your finger |
